Now that the weather is cooling down, the evenings are perfect for a little outdoor fun. A great way to get the community out of the house and into some workout clothes, Síclovía is a wonderful event that turns city streets in to temporary workout facilities. Jazz’SAlive in Travis Park

Ah… the smooth sound of jazz. Stick us on a lawn, put a cold drink in our hands and we’re dunzo! Wait? This weekend we can do just that, you say?

Saturday, September 21 and Sunday, September 22 join us around the block in Travis Park for the 30th annual Jazz’SAlive event. National and international artists will hit the stage for this two-day long musical showcase, along with local bands and Gospel acts. There’s even activities for the kids! The Children’s Symposium on Saturday afternoon will help expose kids to four areas of music study and allow them the chance to play with some pretty cool musical instruments. Continue reading
